Is ';lip stain'; the same thing as lipgloss ?

i was on sephora, looking for a reffill on my lipgloss , and it said lipstain, and i was wondering if it was the same thing as lipgloss.

No. A lip stain is something you rub on your lips to give them color (stains them) unlike lipstick or gloss that you put on top of your lips. It's like when you eat a popsicle and your lips turn pink. Thats what a lip stain does.Is ';lip stain'; the same thing as lipgloss ?
lip stain is a little like food dye, its not glossy when it dries it just has colour, i use mine all the time because its less obvious that lipstick or gloss.





I used some of my lip stain to make a lip gloss that is glossy when i put it on and the colour still remains for a while after the gloss has worn off.





i like the stain colours better than gloss because they are usually more reds and natural than the pinky colours of gloss, \
