Has anyone tried using a lip stain? ?

I was thinking about getting a lip stain but I wasn't quite sure how it worked. I want to go for the natural lip (like one you would want to kiss) but I don't want it to feel dry to the touch (kiss) like it feels when you use all day wear lipstick (like cover girls outlast all day lip color)





Is it drying to the lips? Does it look natural? What are you experiences with it?? Any help is greatly appreciated!!Has anyone tried using a lip stain? ?
Lip stain can be gorgeous on the lips only if applied correct though.


for begginers i would only reccomend you start of cheap if you cant afford it because it can be very very messy and really does stain and can go to waste very quickly!!





tips for buying lip stains''





1.Go to your nearest make-up and beauty counter and ask for a demonstration on you and play around with the colours. usually done for free:)


2.try to buy ones with extra moisture in them.


3.when you get the hang of it id reccommend buying a good one not cheap.


4. Drink lots of water to maintain the hydration in your lips so they wont dry out!





also able to put a light lip balm over your lips after the application. so your lips arnt dry.

not all lip stains will work with lip balm over them. but definatly worth a try.


now for a natural alternative, wine or strawberrys give that romantic rosy lip stain naturally and dosent dry your lips :P

It's quiet messy. I wouldn't recommend it. I used it and placed a lip gloss on top, it looked alright. It didn't fray on the edges like a lip stick which was nice.





If you do get it make sure you apply it evenly or it looks not so great. Wasn't drying because I used a lip gloss on top.
With lip stain the trick is to not over-apply it. Dab just a little in the center of your lips and spread it evenly to the corners of your lips using your finger or lip brush.





When you use too much it becomes gloopy and creates a 'creeping color' effect over the edges of your mouth. Yuk!
Cover Girl outlast makes a lip stain now and I love it! This is the easiest and only lip stain that has worked for me. I got it at Target in Flirty Nude. Just use the ';magic marker'; type stick to line your lips then fill it in. Wait a minute or so then blot excess. I use chapstick over mine.

then a gloss so if the lip stick and lipgloss where off you still have teh colour on all day
