I'm using Liptini right now, and I love its staying power; unfortunately, Ulta discontinued that brand, so you can only buy it online--as far as I know.
Their Lip Liquers are matte and come in a spectrum of reds; cordials are my favorite because it's a stain but with a metallic sheen.

Here are good reviews on lip stains http://www.audreydao.com/?s=lip+stain (Just click on the title of each posts) Personally, I've used and LOVED Benefit Benetint http://www.audreydao.com/2009/03/28/bene鈥?/a> The site lists prices on approximatley how much each costs so it gives you a good idea of how much it costs instore and online, which always comes in handy.
Whenever I want to choose any new make-up, I always check out Audrey's reviews because she gives lots of info about the product and her own personal review from her experience using it. Usually if Audrey gives it a positive, you know it will be a good buy. I've followed her advice and suggestions before, and it definitely always works out. By the way, if you want to try out a product that isn't reviewed yet, you can leave a comment on her ';Contact Me'; page and she will review that product for you!
Hope this helps.

My fav is Benetint. Looks very natural and lasts all day! Works well on lips and cheeks.

my sister bought it and it looked great on her pale skin
it might look a bit dark but the color deepens depending the amount you apply
